Quick Start Guide

Follow this 5-step guide to configure your suppliers, categories, products, options, and pricing in Xada.

Step 1 – Configure Your Category Structure

Start by setting up your storefront categories.

  • Review available categories from your supplier feed
  • Select the categories you want to use and set them to Active
  • Create new categories or modify existing ones using Create Category
  • Define relationships (e.g. parent and subcategories)

A well-structured category tree is essential for organising your products effectively.

Step 2 – Assign Products to Categories

Use rules to automatically map supplier categories to your Xada categories.

  • Go to Rules and create a category assignment rule
  • Set conditions (e.g. supplier, supplier category)
  • Assign products to the appropriate Xada category

This ensures products are consistently categorised without manual effort.

Step 3 – Activate Suppliers and Products

Activate the suppliers and products you want to publish.

Suppliers

  • Enable suppliers from the supplier feed
  • You can also create suppliers via CSV import

Products

  • Use Rules to bulk activate products (e.g. all products from a supplier)
  • Apply conditions to include or exclude specific products
  • Review matched products before running the rule

Notes:

  • You can manually activate products via the Products page or CSV
  • Deleting a rule will reverse its changes
  • If necessary, disable rules after use to prevent ongoing automatic updates

Step 4 – Configure Options and Additions

Set up product options and decoration additions.

  • Activate relevant options (e.g. Screen Print, Digital Transfer)
  • Assign additions to options where required
  • Standardise naming for consistency across your storefront

Best practice:

  • Use rules to automate activation and assignment
  • Use CSV only for refinement or cleanup

This step ensures customers can select the correct configurations on your product pages.

Step 5 – Apply Pricing and Markups

Set up pricing for your products using rules.

  • Create markup rules for suppliers or categories
  • Apply pricing to options and additions
  • Configure quantity breaks (including MOQ) if not provided by suppliers

This allows you to:

  • Maintain consistent margins
  • Scale pricing across your catalogue
  • Avoid manual pricing updates

Summary

By following these steps, you will:

  • Structure your categories
  • Assign products automatically
  • Activate suppliers and products
  • Configure options and additions
  • Apply scalable pricing rules

Together, these steps create a fully automated workflow that keeps your storefront accurate, consistent, and up to date.
