Creating a New Supplier

In Xada, suppliers are the primary source of truth for product data. You can now add a new local supplier directly in Xada using the Create Supplier action.

Step 1 - Go to the Suppliers Page

Start by opening the supplier area in Xada:

  1. Go to the Suppliers page in Xada.
  2. Review the existing supplier list, if required.

Step 2 - Create a new supplier

Create a new local supplier:

  1. Click Create Supplier.
  2. The supplier creation form will open.

Step 3 - Enter the Supplier Details

Add the basic supplier information:

  1. Enter the Supplier Name.
  2. Choose whether the supplier should be Active.

Set the supplier as Active if you want it to be available for use in Xada.

Step 4 - Save the Supplier

Once the details have been entered:

  1. Review the supplier name.
  2. Confirm the active status.
  3. Click Save.

The new supplier will now be added to your Xada database.

Step 5 - Add Products to the Supplier

Once the supplier has been created, you can start adding products to it.

You can add products by:

  1. Using the Create Product action.
  2. Importing products via CSV.

This allows you to build out the supplier’s product range directly within Xada.

Note: while you can still create suppliers by importing a CSV file, using the Create Supplier action is a much easier option.
