Why are my exports being cancelled automatically?
Exports in Xada can be automatically cancelled if they remain in the “Validating” stage when the next scheduled export begins.
Why an export enters “Validating”
An export is placed on hold and moved to Validating when it schedules deletions potentially significant changes, such as:
- Deletion of brands
- Deletion of categories
- Deletion of a large number of products (e.g. more than 200)
This safeguard is designed to prevent unintended or large-scale data removal from your storefront.
Why the export gets cancelled
If no action is taken while the export is in the Validating state:
- The system waits for manual confirmation
- If the next scheduled export starts before confirmation is provided
- The previous export is automatically cancelled
What you should do
- Check your email for a notification about the export being placed on hold
- Review the changes being proposed (especially deletions)
- Manually confirm the export to allow it to proceed
Summary
- Validating status = Export is paused due to significant changes
- No action taken = Export remains on hold
- Next export starts = Previous export is automatically cancelled
To avoid cancellations, ensure you review and confirm exports in the Validating stage before the next scheduled run.
