How to add a product meta description

You can add or update a product meta description in three ways: via the Edit Product page, via CSV import, or by using rules for bulk updates.

Option 1: Via the Edit Product page

1. Go to the Products page.
2. Locate the product you want to update and click Edit.
3. In the Details section, find the Meta Description field.
4. Enter or update the meta description.
5. Click Update to save your changes.

This method is recommended for updating individual products.

Option 2: Via CSV import

1. Go to the Exports page.
2. Click "Export CSV" and choose the relevant supplier, then click "Confirm".
3. Open the exported CSV file and update the meta description values for the required products.
4. Save the file.
5. Import the updated CSV file back into Xada, via the Imports page.

This method is recommended for bulk updates across multiple products.

Option 3: Via rules (bulk updates)

You can also use rules to automatically set or update product meta descriptions in bulk. Rules allow you to apply meta descriptions to multiple products based on defined conditions, reducing the need for manual updates or repeated CSV imports.

This method is ideal for ongoing or automated bulk updates.
